Demonfall Family Tier List
Your Slayer family in Demonfall rolls at character creation and governs stat growth, passive abilities, and breathing synergies. Unlike breathing styles, family changes require Wipe Potions or rare reroll items — making tier knowledge critical before you invest hours. Kamado, Tomioka, Shinazugawa, and Himejima form S-tier for competitive Slayers. This page explains why each family ranks where it does and how passives interact with breathing choices.
S-Tier Families
Kamado — Mandatory for optimal Sun Breathing. Reduced Sun health drain and damage bonuses make Kamado the single most valuable Slayer family. Most ranked Sun users run Kamado.
Tomioka — Water breathing synergy and balanced stat spread. Tomioka passives complement defensive play and Water style users seeking A-tier performance with S-tier family stats.
Shinazugawa — Wind-oriented bonuses and aggressive stat lines suit rushdown PvP. Strong pick for players who prefer pressure over Sun grind requirements.
Himejima — Stone breathing affinity and tankier stat growth. Excellent for players who block and trade hits. Pairs with defensive breathing strategies.
A-Tier and Lower Families
A-tier families like Rengoku and Kocho offer situational passives — Flame and Insect synergy respectively — without Kamado-level universal strength. B-tier and below families remain playable but lack stat efficiency for high-ranked grind. Demon players use Blood Demon Arts instead of families — see BDA tier list.
Hybrids inherit unique rules blending demon and Slayer systems. Consult Hybrid build page before rerolling for Slayer families on hybrid accounts.
Reroll Strategy
Do not burn Wipe Potions blindly. Farm codes from codes hub for Wipe Potions and plan target family before rerolling. Our family reroll guide covers odds, item sources, and when to stop rerolling. Kamado chase can consume many potions — set a personal limit.
