Requirements and Location

You must be level 50 and on the Slayer path to Prestige. Travel to Kamakura Village and find Murata, the Prestige NPC. He stands near the central training area — use the village guide if you are unsure of his exact spot. Interact with him and confirm Prestige when prompted.

There is no yen fee for Prestige itself, but you should finish critical unlocks first — especially Water or Flame Breathing training and any clan-dependent goals. Hybrid players follow a different reset through Kokushibo; see the Hybrid guide instead of Murata for that path.

What You Lose on Prestige

Prestige wipes most progression: your level resets, accumulated yen, inventory items, demon horns, ores, and most quest progress disappear. Skill points and allocated stats reset with your level. Any unfinished Breathing trials may need to be repeated depending on current patch behavior.

Treat Prestige like a soft wipe with a permanent buff attached. Bank valuable consumables you cannot afford to lose only if you plan to trade or store them on an alt — the game does not offer a stash system. Spend excess yen on potions or needed materials right before Prestiging if you cannot carry them forward.

What You Keep After Prestige

The most important preserved data is your clan (family roll). Your Prestige tier increases — Prestige 1, Prestige 2, and so on — unlocking Sun Breathing and scaling damage bonuses tied to Prestige count. Cosmetic unlocks from codes typically remain on your Roblox account.

Sun Breathing specifically requires Prestige 1 or higher, level 50 again, and meeting Tanjiro in the Coast Forest. Kamado clan members deal bonus Sun damage, making Prestige plus Kamado one of the strongest long-term combinations. Details are in the Sun Breathing guide.

Pre-Prestige Preparation

Before confirming with Murata, complete these steps: reach level 50 with a comfortable build, finish your main Breathing Style unlock for muscle memory, and read the Sun Breathing requirements so you know your next target. Farm extra yen using the farm yen guide knowing it will wipe — the practice matters more than the balance.

Stockpile knowledge of ore and trinket routes for your second climb to 50. The second run is faster because you understand combat and quest chains. Party with other Prestige players in Frosty Forest or high-level zones when you return.

Prestige vs Hybrid Reset

Do not confuse Murata's Prestige with Kokushibo's Hybrid conversion. Prestige keeps you a Slayer, preserves clan, and gates Sun Breathing. Hybrid requires five Muzan Blood, resets you to level 25, and unlocks Moon Breathing plus Blood Demon Arts. They serve different builds — Prestige for Sun Slayers, Hybrid for Moon and dual mechanics.

Some players Prestige first, reach Sun, then Hybrid later on a dedicated alt account. On a single main, pick the path that matches your endgame style from our Breathing tier list before committing.

Second and Third Prestige Runs

Each Prestige tier requires another level 50 climb and another conversation with Murata. Higher Prestige stacks account-wide bonuses that make subsequent Sun forms hit harder and survive longer in Frosty Forest PvP. Veterans often Prestige during double-XP community events or when party grinding is active on public servers.

Between Prestige cycles, refine your Slayer build, stock Combat Potions, and memorize ore nodes from the farm yen guide. The yen wipe hurts less when your second climb takes half the time of your first — muscle memory on Water forms and Final Selection routes pays dividends here.

Common Prestige Mistakes

Players Prestige without reading Sun requirements, then wonder why Tanjiro has no dialogue at level 50 — you need Prestige 1 active, not just a fresh level cap. Others Prestige with full inventory of Muzan Blood and lose bottles they needed for Hybrid on an alt. Spend or trade excess before confirming Murata.

Another trap is Prestiging at level 50 with zero potions saved for the re-grind. Buy Health and Combat Potions from shops or redeem codes immediately after reset so your first demon camps do not stall progress.
