Cách Flame Breathing

Before visiting Rengoku, collect 20 demon horns from demon kills and one Axe Demon collar from Axe Demon enemies. Horns drop commonly from mid-level demons in zones beyond Kamakura — grind fields and caves while doing Final Selection kill quests for double efficiency.

The Axe Demon collar is a specific drop from Axe Demon spawns, not a generic trinket. Hunt Axe Demons in their designated spawn areas marked on the world map. Party farming speeds collar drops when multiple players tag the same elite.

White Peak is the mountainous training zone associated with the Flame Hashira. Travel northeast from Kamakura toward the peak marker. Rengoku stands near the summit training grounds — visible flame motifs and NPC dialogue distinguish him from random quest givers.

Turn in your 20 horns and Axe Demon collar through his dialogue menu. Missing either item blocks training. Bank extra horns only if you plan to trade; Rengoku consumes exactly what the quest requires.

Rengoku's combat trial emphasizes aggressive pressure — defeat demon targets quickly while maintaining combo chains. Flame forms deal high burst damage but leave you open if whiffed; practice in open world before attempting the timed trial.

Unlike Water's 2,000 yen fee, Flame gating is material-based. If you fail the trial, keep your materials — retry until you succeed. Combat Potions help DPS checks; redeem active codes for free potions if available.

Water is cheaper and faster for beginners via the Water Breathing guide. Flame suits players who enjoy rush-down PvP and can farm horns efficiently. You do not need both before Prestige, though knowing both forms improves overall combat literacy.

Endgame Slayers still often Prestige for Sun Breathing. Flame remains a strong mid-game main until Sun unlocks. Hybrids pursue Moon instead — Flame is a pure Slayer path style.

Stack horn farming with yen farming — demons drop horns and trinkets simultaneously. Sell excess trinkets to fund potions while grinding horns. Night spawns or event patches occasionally boost drop rates; check update history after major patches.

Store horns in inventory until you have all twenty — partial turn-ins are not supported. The Axe Demon collar is the usual bottleneck; focus farming sessions on Axe Demon spawn timers.

Axe Demons spawn in dedicated elite zones — not every demon field includes them. Run the perimeter of known Axe spawn points on a timer, server hopping only when allowed by game rules. Solo players should wait for knockdown windows; Axe Demons punish greedy rushdown with wide arc swings.

Bring a party when possible — shared kills still drop collars for eligible participants depending on patch loot rules. Combine collar runs with Final Selection kill progress if you have not finished the thirty-demon exam yet.

Flame forms burn through combo meter faster than Water but deal higher burst. Allocate points into your primary opener and one finisher before utility forms. Rengoku's trial tests whether you can maintain pressure — practice full combos on training dummies or low-tier demons before turning in horns.

Flame pairs well with Combat Potions from potions during horn farming sessions, shortening grind time before White Peak turn-in.
