Tomar Potions no Console

Press the mapped menu button equivalent to Tab on PC — typically Options on PlayStation or Menu on Xbox depending on your control scheme. Navigate to the inventory tab using the D-pad or analog stick. Select a potion category, highlight the potion, and press confirm to drink.

This full menu path is too slow for combat. Use the hotkey method below for mid-fight consumption. New players should practice in Kamakura safe zones before attempting Final Selection or trainer trials.

Demonfall allows console players to assign consumables to quick slots through the settings menu. Open Settings from the gear icon, find the hotbar or consumable slot section, and assign Health Potions and Combat Potions to shoulder buttons or D-pad directions you can reach without claw-gripping the controller.

Recommended layout: Health on one shoulder, Combat on the other, leaving face buttons for attacks and block. Match your layout to console controls reference if you remap attack buttons.

Name your slots mentally — left bumper Health, right bumper Combat — so muscle memory survives long sessions grinding yen or Breathing trials.

During fights, tap your assigned hotkey once to drink the bound potion. Animation lock applies — you are vulnerable while drinking, so create distance or block before sipping. In PvP, bait opponents into whiffing before healing.

Breathing trials like Urokodaki's boulder quest or Rengoku's Flame test allow potion use between waves. Stock potions from active codes and farming before attempting Water or Moon trials.

Health Potions restore HP during demon grinds and Final Selection. Combat Potions boost damage for horn farming and trainer DPS checks. Wipe Potions reset your character for family rerolls — use carefully in menu-only contexts, never mid-combat.

If hotbar presses do nothing, verify the potion still exists in inventory — empty stacks clear bindings silently on some patches. Re-assign after restocking from vendors or codes. Also confirm you are not in a menu-disabled zone during cutscenes.
