Travel to the Coast Forest zone — the coastal woodland area on the world map separate from Kamakura's mountains. Tanjiro spawns as an NPC trainer among the trees near the shoreline paths. If you do not see him, verify your Prestige count and level; the dialogue option appears only when both requirements are met.

Coast Forest hosts mid-to-high level demons. Clear the area or party up before speaking to Tanjiro so you are not interrupted mid-trial. The trainer locations page marks his position relative to other Breathing masters like Urokodaki and Rengoku.

Tanjiro assigns a combat trial similar in spirit to other Breathing quests — defeat demon targets within a time limit using fundamentals you learned from Water or Flame. Sun forms emphasize wide arcs and burn damage over time; practice your block timing before attempting the trial.

Kamado is the canonical clan for Sun mains. The passive bonus stacks with Sun Breathing forms for noticeably higher DPS in PvE and PvP. If you Prestiged with a non-Kamado roll, you can still complete Sun — you simply leave damage on the table unless you reroll with a Wipe Potion.

Compare Sun against Moon for Hybrid accounts in the Breathing tier list. Sun dominates pure Slayer metas; Moon requires Hybrid conversion through Kokushibo and five Muzan Blood from the Hybrid guide.

Allocate skill points toward Sun moves you use in combo chains. Sun shines in burst windows — open with a Breathing form, pressure with basic attacks, then finish with your highest tier form when combo meter fills. Farm yen again via trinket routes for potions and crafting materials.

Second Prestige with Murata remains optional depending on your long-term goals. Each Prestige tier further scales your account. Pair Sun with endgame Nichirin upgrades from the Nichirin swords page when you reach high-level content and world bosses.

Sun Breathing includes multiple forms unlocked sequentially with skill points — each form adds a new combo ender or gap closer. Prioritize forms that chain from your most-used opener rather than spreading points evenly. Sun rewards aggressive pressure: stay in melee range, block punish demon swings, and cancel recovery frames with lower-tier forms while big moves cooldown.

In PvP, Sun's wide hitboxes punish roll spammers but leave you open during long animations — bait blocks, then punish. Against Hybrids with Moon, respect burst windows and keep Health Potions bound via the console potion guide if you play on Xbox or PlayStation.

Non-Kamado clans still complete Tanjiro's trial and use every Sun form. You simply deal less raw damage than Kamado mains in ranked PvP and boss races. Tokito and other mobility clans pair well with Sun's aggressive kit if you prefer speed over raw Kamado bonus.

If you are one Wipe Potion away from Kamado, weigh the cost against your current Prestige tier — rerolling before Prestige 1 is cheaper timewise than rerolling after multiple Sun unlocks and skill point investment.
